North Primary PALS Program



North Primary PALS Program is looking for PALS who are able to volunteer their time 1-2 days per week from 8:30 AM - 9:00 AM to work with a small group of students in kindergarten first, or second grade.


What is a PAL? A PAL is a mom, dad, grandparent, aunt, uncle, etc. who is willing to volunteer at the school.


What does a PAL do? A PAL works will a small group of students on a skill/concept that they have been working on in class. Examples include: 

  • Math facts  
  • Phonics/spelling
  • Fluency
  • Sight word recognition

Does a PAL need to be a teacher? No, a PAL does not need to be a teacher. 


Does a PAL need to create lessons and bring materials? No, the grade level teachers will provide the materials needed to review the skill/concept.


Does a PAL need to have clearances? Yes, a PAL volunteer needs to have current clearances on file in the office.


Does a PAL need to be a member of the PTO?No, a PAL volunteer does not need to be a member of the PTO.
